- Singapore, 21 November 2006...The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today launched the 2007 Year of the Boar Almanac Coins and the 2007 Uncirculated Coin Set (5-cent to $5). 2007 Year of the Boar Coins 2 The coins are part of the third series of Chinese Almanac Coins designed by Mr Xu Yunfei of Shanghai Mint. The previous two issues were the 2006 Year of the Dog coins and 2005 Year of the Rooster coins. The simple and lively image of the boar is integrated with ancient Chinese seal characters
