- Singapore 8 August 2002. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today issued transitional regulations under the Securities and Futures Act (SFA) and the Financial Advisers Act (FAA). The regulations set out procedures for migration to the new SFA and FAA regulatory framework of intermediaries registered and licensed under the Insurance Intermediaries Act (IIA), Securities Industry Act (SIA) and the Futures Trading Act (FTA). 2 The SFA and the FAA will be fully implemented by the end of September

- Singapore, 11 November 2009...The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has issued the revised Property Funds Appendix within the Code of Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) (411.4 KB) . 2 Under the revised Appendix, REITs will be required to hold Annual General Meetings (AGMs) once every calendar year and not more than 15 months from the last preceding AGM, with effect from 1 January 2010. This means all REITs will have held an AGM by 31 Dec 2010. In line with SGX's rule on the timing of AGMs

- Singapore, 10 June 2022… Mr Tan Chee Keong (Mr Tan) was today convicted and sentenced to 3 months and 2 weeks’ imprisonment for insider trading and acquiring benefits from criminal conduct. At the time of the commission of the offence, Mr Tan was the Chief Financial Officer of Broadway Industrial Group Limited (BIGL), a company listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange 1 . 2. Mr Tan pleaded guilty to and was convicted of a charge under section 218(3)(a) of the Securities and Futures Act
