- It is a pleasure and an honor to be in Singapore, a country that I deeply admire, to deliver the 2013 Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Lecture. I certainly would like to thank Managing Director Ravi Menon for having invited me to address such a distinguished audience.
- As a matter of fact, towards the end of 2009, an incipient sense of achievement started to appear, as it can be exemplified by some of the remarks by the former IMF´s Managing Director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, made precisely here in Singapore in November 2009 as he delivered his MAS Lecture.
